One in 400,000 Chance
Bob Paget Wins What He Builds

Bob Paget, Local 879, won this brand new Ford Ranger.

Bob Paget, Local 879, won this brand new Ford Ranger.

At the Region 4 conference in Ottawa Ill., in October, John Jarstad, president of Local 95 in Janesville, Wis., home of the GM Tahoe and Yukon trucks, presented the region with an impressive new ticket drum built by Unit 1 skilled trades members.

Jarstad was then invited to draw the winning Community Action Program raffle ticket for the new Ford Ranger pickup parked in front of the assembly hall. From the drum filled with over 400,000 tickets, Jarstad drew the name of Bob Paget from Local 879 at the Ford Assembly plant in Minneapolis, known as “The Home of the Ford Ranger.”

Paget is a UAW group leader in the Body Build area where the Ford Rangers are built. The 24-year veteran of Local 879 purchased the winning V-CAP ticket at his monthly membership meeting.

Congratulations to Brother Paget and all the members who bought tickets. We’re all winners when we elect candidates who understand the needs of America’s workers and support our issues.
