A busy and diversified local

Negotiation struggles, new facilities, and working hard to keep union jobs have kept the members of Local 1811 busy.

This extremely diversified local represents healthcare, vision safety, printing and graphics, education, counseling, addiction recovery, and TV news workers.

Health Plus of Michigan, SVS Vision, and General Optical are all presently in negotiations. Blue Care Network members were victorious in finally getting their contract, negotiated a year and half ago, fully implemented. Riverfront Optical, along with TK Labs added an additional facility in Flint. Workers at Kettering University, TV 25 and FJ Graphics also work with union pride. Insight, NCAA and EAGCLCD in Flint and Lansing round out the very diverse membership of this local.
