Hand carved logoThe talents of Bob Clark have blessed the UAW Region 1C veterans association.

A recent retiree from Local 2031, Clark presented us with a hand carved UAW veteran’s logo. The carving measures 32" by 32." It is surrounded by a wood frame and covered with glass.

Bob received a great round of appreciative applause from the veterans. His handiwork is now on display for all to enjoy in the auditorium of the Flint regional office.

Briefly

• Local 220, which represents 470 machinists and assemblers in Jackson, formed a new chaplaincy committee. Although such committees are common in the larger GM locals, this is a first for an IPS local union in Region 1C.

• Workers at the Kellogg Crankshaft plant unit of Local 62 in Jackson are proud to be the only unionized IPS plant producing crankshafts. Customers include the Big Three automakers.

• Over 48 percent of the 500 workers at Local 1660 in Elsie have pledged to contribute to V-CAP 2000. Have you signed your V-CAP card yet?
