UAW Region 1C

Worker to worker growing strong

Worker to Worker logoRegion 1C has 145 separate units of which 17 are GM local unions. These figures dramatize the magnitude of implementing the UAW’s worker-to-worker program.

Progress has been good so far, but the region still has a long way to go. To date, we have trained 133 units. The most recent training session was held at the Region 1C subregional office in Jackson. It was taught by Billy Faust of Local 1735 and Derick Quinney of Local 602. They both did a great job. The newly trained WTW coordinators are now developing strategic plans for implementing the program in their respective work sites.

All Region 1C members and officers who have attended a coordinator training session should contact Bruce McAtee, Region 1C CAP coordinator or Bob Roth, regional education director, to give them your shirt size for a personal worker-to-worker shirt. If you have any questions regarding the region’s worker-to-worker program, please contact your servicing representative, Bob Roth at (810) 767-0910, or Bruce McAtee at (517) 372-7201.
