Johnson Control Workers Win First Contract

On Nov. 7, workers at the Johnson Controls facility in Dayton, N.J., ratified their first contract agreement with their company as members of the UAW.

Earlier this year, the facility’s 124 workers chose through card check recognition to be represented by the UAW. Those workers are now proud members of Amalgamated UAW Local 595.

Local 595 also represents some 2,300 workers at the General Motors Assembly plant in Linden, N.J.

Johnson Controls manufactures seats for GM Linden and the Ford Edison (N.J.) assembly plant.

Congratulations to our JCI sisters and brothers and welcome to Region 9.
