Writing about unions can earn college money
Children of union members can win up to $4,000 in Union Plus scholarship money for the 2005-2006 academic year.
Fill in the application and write a 500-word essay about your career goals and aspirations, including your relationship with the union and the labor movement.
Applications must be postmarked no later than Jan. 31.
They can be downloaded online from http://www.unionplus.org/benefits/education/scholarships/ or you can complete the application online.
Last year five UAW family members won scholarships from $500 to $3,000 to help with tuition.
