Reality Check – America Works! is broadcast weekly to more than 5 million homes in Ohio. The new shows explore the following issues from the perspective of working Ohioans:

- Trade policies — such as NAFTA and the proposed CAFTA trade agreement — that contribute to the continuous loss of good paying jobs in Ohio and the “race to the bottom” for workers globally.

- The attack on the current workers compensation system in Ohio that will have an adverse impact on workers.

- The squeeze many baby boomers find themselves in as they struggle to provide elder care and child care while facing the challenges of their jobs.

- The perils of Social Security privatization schemes.

- The need for labor law reform so workers can choose to join a union without fear of intimidation or retribution from employers.

- The financial state of Ohio that has resulted in cuts in services for some Ohio's most vulnerable residents.

- Ensuring every child has equal access to education.

- Workplace health and safety.

- Disaster preparedness.

Additional shows will explore topics including renewable energy sources, alternative fuel sources, the UAW and the contributions UAW members make to our national security.
