UAW and Ford reach tentative agreement on contract modifications
DETROIT - The UAW has finalized a tentative agreement with Ford Motor Co. regarding additional modifications to the 2007 UAW-Ford labor agreement, UAW officials said today. The agreement will be presented to the National Ford Council delegates for a recommendation this afternoon at 1 p.m.
The tentative agreement, if recommended by the Council, is subject to ratification by UAW Ford workers, said President Ron Gettelfinger and Vice President Bob King, who directs the union’s UAW Ford Department.
The UAW and Ford reached agreement on a four-year contract in November 2007, and agreed on modifications in February 2009.
