President's Report

During the 35th UAW Constitutional Convention delegates will receive information from many sources. Some things you may want to note are the publications in the convention kit you received at registration.

There are several important books to refer to during the week. The first is the President’s Report. In this book President Ron Gettelfinger sums up the UAW’s achievements and challenges, honors our history and looks to our union’s future.

Another is the Department Reports book in which directors of each International Union department explain what has taken place since the 2006 convention. The Report of the Secretary-Treasurer focuses on the union’s finances. Proposed Resolutions contains the UAW policies on issues that will be discussed and voted on by delegates at this convention. Also included are the Proposed Submitted Resolutions from local unions, the Public Review Board Report and the Convention Appeals Committee Report.
