New Classifications
Team Member/Team Leader
During the course of the 2007 National Negotiations, the parties agreed to a new classification model that supports the small team-based structure under the workplace organization model (WOM). This model established team member and team leader job classifications.
Once employees have completed WOM training and migrated into teams, the following rate will apply as outlined in example chart below. Accordingly, if the Local Employees Participation Councils (LEPCs) choose not to adopt the negotiated model as set forth in the memorandum of understanding, they may submit a request to retain their current job classification structure within their facility. Those locations are not precluded from transitioning to small-team based environment. However, those teams are not eligible for the wage rates established in the new WOM model.
