ARTICLE 49
Fraud in Local Union Elections
Any member convicted of misrepresenting returns, altering, mutilating or destroying deposited ballots, voting fraudulently or of intimidating others by threats or otherwise interfering with a member in the exercise of her/his right to cast a ballot in Local Union elections and strike balloting, shall be punished in accordance with the Trial Procedure outlined in this Constitution. The member so convicted shall be disqualified for either elective or appointive office within the jurisdiction of the International Union for a period of not less than two (2) years or more than five (5) years.
