UAW women: Take the 2010 Ask a Working Woman survey

07/29/10

Every two years, the AFL-CIO conducts a survey to capture the views of working women. UAW women are encouraged to take the 2010 Ask a Working Woman survey and answer questions about the economy, health care, balancing family and work, and jobs.

Participating in the Ask a Working Woman survey will give you a chance to tell how you feel about your job, how the recession has affected your family and what you hope and worry the next five years will bring. The AFL-CIO will take what you and tens of thousands of other women say and make sure decision makers and the media hear it.

“It’s important to have as many UAW women participate as possible so we make our views and concerns known,” said UAW Vice President Cindy Estrada, director of the union’s Women’s Department.

The 2008 survey resulted in thousands of responses from women across the country.  Survey results will be an invaluable tool for moving working women’s issues into the national dialogue. Please take the survey today to make sure UAW women are represented, and then share the link with your UAW sisters, friends and family.
