UAW loses a great friend

Larry J. Scott, chair of the UAW International Retired Workers Advisory Council since 2006, passed away July 10.

Larry gave a lifetime of service to UAW Local 685 in Kokomo, Ind. Larry served the local as a trustee, Community Action Program (CAP) chair, Howard County CAP chair and retirees chapter chair. Larry was also financial secretary for the Indiana Alliance for Retired Americans since its inception and earlier was treasurer for the Indiana State Council of Senior Citizens.

The membership of Local 685 and the entire UAW has lost a good friend and strong advocate for the labor cause. 

Our hearts and prayers go out to Larry’s family in their time of grief.
