The Economic Alliance for Michigan, a coaltion of labor and business groups, recently released a statement stating that there is no benefit in pursuing so-called right-to-work legislation in Michigan. The group, which made the decision unanimously, said a debate on such legislation is not a productive use of time and energy that is needed to help rebuild Michigan's economy.
"Michigan should be focused on bringing people and parties together to improve our state's job and business climate," the group said in a consensus statement released Dec. 6.
